Greener Building Projects Are The Future...

A recent report from NBS indicates steady growth in the construction industry's number of net zero projects is on the up.

The fourth edition of the Sustainable Futures Report, published by NBS in collaboration with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), highlights the progress in sustainability within the construction sector. This report, based on an online survey of nearly 600 professionals in the built environment conducted between February and April 2024, explores attitudes and practices related to sustainability.

The findings reveal a significant increase in the commissioning of Net-Zero projects. Over the past year, 64% of industry professionals have been involved in net-zero initiatives, reflecting a growing emphasis on low-carbon construction. This marks a notable rise from about 49% of respondents in 2022.

The Farnborough branch, set to open "later this summer," marks the next step in Jewson’s rebranding journey, as announced in May.

In line with STARK Building Materials UK's 'Trust in Better' strategy, Jewson is launching a major investment program to enhance its branch network nationwide. This includes significant refurbishments and the development of new, purpose-built distribution facilities.

We are committed to hiring a diverse range of people from varied career backgrounds, alongside those looking to take their first step on the ladder and experience the many benefits of working in the merchant sector.
